Tunes Old and Not Quite as Old

Some of these go back to 2002 when I was transitioning from Macs to Windows for making music.

Mr Jones Blues (Dot Bomb Blues) Sun, 06 Apr 2008 13:56:10 -0500 - Blues, Strat Squier

A spontaneous jam from May 19 2002 (why I remember the date is another story - there's hint in the title). The guitar was a Fender Strat Squier through the Blues Junior, miked at a distance in a big room. All of the other sounds were from the Soundblaster Platinum soundcard that was in the computer in the living room at that time with a 66-key Casio for input. Seems hard to believe but this was the first time I had a setup with no discernable latency.

Sweet Strawberry Spice Mon, 25 Feb 2008 11:54:04 -0500 - Jazz, Gibson ES125

Sixth-string tuned down to D. I'd like to play this live with double-bass, drums, and classical guitar (and flute...and bongoes).

Anecdotage Mon, 25 Feb 2008 11:53:43 -0500 - Jazz

White and Brown Strats, cheap white Strat has most of the solos.

Member of the Court Mon, 25 Feb 2008 11:53:39 -0500 - Jazz

The Chinese Epiphone overdubbed, with a vinyl plugin added to the mix.

Que Sera Sera Mon, 25 Feb 2008 11:53:35 -0500 - Jazz:Cover:Movie Theme

This features the Dove overdubbed and a bass. I should try this again but with a mike on the Dove in addition to the direct feed from the piezo pickup. It's in the happy Hot Club style I've always liked.

The Jade Merchant's Daughter Mon, 25 Feb 2008 11:53:29 -0500 - Jazz:Guitar

I think this was a drum loop from Reason that ended up having a piano noodling on top. A nice enough first-take solo that doesn't really go anywhere but is pleasant audio wallpaper to code to, if that's you're idea of a good time.

Ambrosia Too Sun, 17 Feb 2008 01:03:24 -0500 - Jazz:Gibson ES-125

This tune was inspired by our first visit to Ambrosia Too in Key West, a beautifully landscaped slice of heaven on Fleming Street.
