- HTML 5 Enhances Mobile Gmail
- Google Engineering Manager Alex Nicolaou makes a couple of good points while describing enhancments to mobile Gmail. "...we can build a single app with HTML and JavaScript, and have it "just work" across many mobile operating systems...a web application also means we can launch products and features as soon as they're ready. And for users, the latest version of the app is always just a URL and a refresh away."
- Release Early and Often
- Scott Gilberton's "Forget Perfection, Release Your App to the World" makes some excellent points and links to Jeff Atwood's "Version 1 Sucks, But Ship It Anyway". Atwood says "...instead of spending three months fixing up this version in a sterile, isolated lab, you could be spending that same three month period listening to feedback from real live, honest-to-god, dedicated users of your software."
